song of the day

Ahah, if you knew me in real life and saw me posting this, you'd be like wtf ? Well, it's 4a.m., I just gave this a quick listen, and i'm actually digging this one. I'm not a big fan of Nicki Minaj, but check out that makeup. :o

Hard Candy, Where Have I Been?

Ello loves. Sorry I disappeared off the face of the planet for a moment there. Work schedule has been hectic, I got sick for a tad bit and i'm also not doing too well in school. It is currently my spring break and also pay day. (heheh.) I went out and splurged on a completely new skin routine and also some new Hard Candy lip glosses.

Top: Hard Candy Glossaholic Lip Gloss in Fairy $5
Bottom: Hard Candy Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss in Girl Next Door $6

I've never tried the MAC Wonderwoman gloss, but supposedly the glossaholic glosses provide a few cheap dupes to those. These are for real glossaholics though. The amount of glitter in these is to an extreme, but when applied in modesty, it doesn't look bad.
The Volumizing brush.
Glossaholic brush

The only bummer I found with the glossaholic one is the size of the brush. I mean look at that thing! I actually have problems pulling the brush from the tube.

size comparison

The neat thing about these is the amount of gloss your getting for your buck.

Left: Girl Next Door
Right: Fairy

I dig these. The wearability isn't too great, though. So you'll find yourself applying them over and over again. The volumizing one has a really soft texture to it, I actually first had the trial size and ended up buying the full sized one. But hey, if your on a budget, these are great glosses.

Hope I helped, and if you've got any opinions on these leave me a comment.
Cheers. (:

update, virtual makeovers ?

Hello loves. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, I don't know why I thought I was going to be able to update over the weekends considering my work schedule and I make so many plans throughout the weekend. I've been reviewing the video footage I did over the 32 color E.L.F. palette and have decided I AM going to re-film it. My swatches were terrible and a little more planning is inevitable. So, I apologize for that, plus I don't want my FIRST review video to be that horrible. (:

I'm also experimenting with some purple and pinks and will be bringing you some new looks with these colors very soon. I PROMISE.

In other news i'm leaning towards dying my hair a very light blonde shade. I've had dark, dark hair for a long time and figured a change was needed and soon. I actually did a 'virtual makeover' with the cut I loved and with the color i'm thinking.
this is myself now.

and here is the 'virtual makeover'

The funny thing was my only concern with the whole look was my really dark eyebrows, but they don't look too bad trimmed way down and with the fringe covering them.

Shailene Woodley
My inspiration for the cut.

If you'd like to try out a virtual makeover a good site would be here:

It's a really interesting site, although some of the hairstyles are a little outdated there are still many options, 700+ I believe. Just make sure you've got a good picture of yourself hair pulled back and straight on.
Oh, and it's free.

Well, my loves, that's all I've got for you today.
I hope you all have a wonderful day, and
cheers. (:

quick update, song of the day

Hello loves. Happy Saint Patty's day to you all. I hope your all having a good one. I've been recording today, trying to figure out how these video reviews work and what i'm supposed to say, proper lighting and swatches, etc. I've been working really hard on this review.

In other news, watch out for that flu bug, guys. Sanitize, wash your hands, you know the routine. I caught a bit of something and slept around 18 hours yesterday. Catching up on beauty sleep is one thing, but sleeping your day away is another.

Also thought i'd bring you the song of the day. A flash from the past. (;

I'm hoping to get this video up or if my video skills fail me, it'll be a long blog post with pictures, by tonight or tomorrow night. (:

Cheers, everyone,.

Song of the day, fashion related news

Hello loves. Just a quick update, I know I promised my review of the E.L.F. palette very soon, but i'm feeling just a bit under the weather today. So, I expect to have that for you in the next few days along with a simple purple smokey eye to fight away the winter blues. (:

Song of the day:

Also, finally someone has stepped up for those victims of the tsunami/earthquake over in Japan. Lady Gaga has made a 'we pray for japan' bracelet to raise funds for the disaster relief. They are available for $5 on her website and you can also add any amount of money you'd like as an additional donation. I'm not sure how much i'm digging the design, but I respect the fact she's trying. (:

Cheers, everyone. Hoping to be back with a big review tommorrow.

song of the day

green patty's day inspired smokey eye

Hello loves. Anybody out there Irish? (: I sure am, and i'm ready to show you guys my version of a patty's day smokey eye. Not to mention this is my *first look ever.* EVER. I'm pretty excited. You guys ready ? (Oh, and please be nice. My blending skills aren't of the professional sort. :p)

(Please ignore the horrific site of my eyebrows. I guess i'll be working on those tonight.)

Here are the products I used.
Jesse's Girl - Eye Shadow Primer $5.99
Maybelline - One By One Mascara $5 - 6
Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner $4
Trucco - C-Note $5 - 10
Trucco - Lover's Lane $5 - 10
E.L.F. - 32 Color Palette $5
Small Concealer Brush (Nothing special.)
Eyeshadow Brush (Nothing Special.)
E.L.F. - Defining Eye Brush $1

I actually had a lot of fun with this look. I had been lusting over the lime green color in my new E.L.F. palette and have been literally dying to try it out.

Those are the two colors I used from the E.L.F. palette.

Left: C-Note, Right: Lover's Lane.

I'm not sure whether these Trucco eyeshadows are still sold or not, I had got these a LONG time ago from a salon. I believe they were only about $6 each. I was able to find some online from 'beauty depot' sites ranging from $5 - 10. Lover's Lane, on the right, is the color I had applied wet all over the lid, and it came out a little brighter than I had expected, which is a good thing. (I also don't recommend keeping eyeshadows for extremely long amounts of time, as they're just a breeding ground for bacteria. :p)

Well, I hope you enjoyed it.
Very soon, i'll have a review up for my newest purchase, my E.L.F. 32 color palette.
Cheers. (:
